About this example
This example is a contract between a commercial photographer and an outdoor apparel brand for a two-day shoot: one day of product photography in the studio and one day of lifestyle photography on a trail. It sets fixed creative fees, retouching for sixty final images, production costs and a separately priced usage licence, with half paid on signing and half on delivery.
In commercial photography the price depends on how the images will be used, so the licence is the heart of this contract. A table states the media, territory, duration, exclusivity and edits allowed, and a second table prices the rights that are not included, from print to billboards to extra years. The contract also shows the schedule, the shot list, who brings what to set, and terms on copyright, credit, portfolio use, rescheduling and weather.
Who it is for
Commercial, product and brand photographers who license images to businesses, and marketing teams who hire them.
