About this example
This example is the estimate a collision repair shop writes after a low-speed front-corner accident on a 2022 compact SUV. It replaces the bumper cover, energy absorber, grille, right headlamp and fender with new OEM parts, paints and blends the panels, measures the structure, recalibrates the front radar and camera, and aligns the wheels, for an insurance claim with a $500 deductible.
Collision estimates are read by two people, the car owner and the insurance adjuster, so this one serves both. A vehicle and claim table, a damage diagram and a panel-by-panel table show what was found and how each part is repaired. Parts and labor are itemized with labor hours and rates, including the ADAS calibration many owners do not expect. A short table shows who pays what, followed by the repair timeline with dates, a lifetime warranty, terms on supplements, parts and storage, and a repair authorization the owner signs.
Who it is for
Auto body and collision shops, mechanics and dealers who write repair estimates that customers and insurance adjusters both need to approve.
